Design for GHM since 1995

My idea was to devise a line of furniture that would reveal the meaning of a place in the same way as typography reveals the meaning of a text – in short, to create a typography of landscape. The concept stemmed from my pilot studies into urban design, back in 1996, which I implemented and monitored over a period of ten years, in the context of the enhancement of sea resorts such as La Baule and Fort Mahon Plage. This enabled me to develop a design that has now been applied to the majority of neighbourhoods in these two towns. Since then, thanks to this collaboration with GHM, the Aldus & Alde palette of lighting and urban furniture has evolved in terms of spatial framework, habits and technology.
