Design for Topos Environnement, 2006-2008

The Burgundy Region was keen to recycle the oak trees that had been uprooted during the 1999 storms. The aim of this study was to reintroduce nature into furniture in outdoor landscapes and inner-city areas. The seven roll-out pressed wooden modules lend themselves to the composition of figures in natural and urban settings and can be applied to furniture and to the concept of a wooden multi-layered composition, which was honed locally in conjunction with the ENSAM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers) in Cluny.
